Add a CommentRead this book at my daughter's preschool class. The kids loved reading/singing along to the story.
This is the best children's book ever! I bought it for my grandchildren and after the first day, my 3-year-old grandson was "reading" it to his little sister and she was singing the song. I've ordered a copy for myself and my 23-year-old daughter has asked for one as well for herself. Everyone should read this story - it's got a message that appies to everyone at every age: Just keep walking along and singing your song!
I love this book and so do the kids in storytime. I challenge you to read this without singing it.
I started reading this book to my 2 year old and he loves it! Never before has he learned a book so completely that he has memorized the entire thing! I start to sing the song and he says "Oh No!" to start the next part. It has everything for a little one's reading pleasure: a cute song, repetitive words, colors, and a moral to boot! The best book for kids ever!
This is a fantastic book for storytime. I didn't like the original tune, so I made up my own. Works quite well with any type of storytime, even older age groups b/c you can then explain the moral etc.
Great for storytime!!
This is a fantastic book! I read it to a group of moms and babies and the moms got right into it! Google the terms "you tube" & "Pete the Cat" and you can hear the tune to the song in it! YAY Pete!
